dp Posted August 16, 2002 Posted August 16, 2002 I am unable to copy and paste in Scriptmaker. Scripting would be much quicker and more accurate if this were possible. Am I overlooking something? Mac OS X 10.1.5 FileMaker 5.5 Thanks, dp
kenneth2k1 Posted August 16, 2002 Posted August 16, 2002 Hello! That depends on what you are trying to copy/paste. Actual scripts and script steps can be duplicated using the Duplicate button. You can copy/paste calculations either by right-clicking (Win) or using the Edit Menu (Mac) and copying and pasting. You can also import scripts from other files from within sciptmaker (although I find this to only be structurally convenient because you cannot import defined fields). What exactly are you trying to copy/paste? Ken
dp Posted August 17, 2002 Author Posted August 17, 2002 Thanks for your reply. Example: Create a new script. Include Set Field in the script. Specify the calculation. Include a Case statement that includes several entries that are largely identical, but differ in only a few characters. It would be convenient to duplicate the first entry several times and then make the small changes to the subsequent entries. I am able to highlight the relevant portion and choose Edit/Copy. But Edit/Paste is grayed out. The standard Mac keyboard controls (cmd-c) and (cmd-v) do not work, either. Any ideas? dp
