Passing dates to PDF

Hi - hoping someone can help me with this.

I'm trying to pass a date from FM to a PDF using the ScribeDocWrite function, but the date value is being formatted as yyyy-mm-dd in the PDF, even though the date format for the field in the PDF is dd/mm/yyyy, so for example when I open the pdf the date reads as 2022-02-22 instead of 22/02/2022. Any ideas how to get the date in the chosen format?
