Newbies Gill Posted August 21, 2002 Newbies Posted August 21, 2002 Upon migrating a working system to a new FM Server 5.5 running on a Win2000 PC, from a FM Server 5 on a G3, the scripts seem to be running too quickly to populate the fields before moving on to their next task. It is almost as though it is happening too fast - we have put in a temporary solution which is to Flush cache to disk and pause steps throughout the scripts (they are heavily nested) which seems to have helped, but not in all cases. This is especially a problem when a new record is required. I would love to know if anyone else has come across anything similar (I have worked with FM for some time and never needed to slow things up before) and if so what you did to resolve it. Thanks
Keith M. Davie Posted August 22, 2002 Posted August 22, 2002 In Pro 4.0 and 5.0 I've had scripts which I had to break into two or three sub-scripts to achieve success.
Newbies Gill Posted August 22, 2002 Author Newbies Posted August 22, 2002 Thanks for the comments so far - it's a massive script so will get it together and come back with it in a PDF
Newbies GlV Posted August 24, 2002 Newbies Posted August 24, 2002 Hello Try the exit record request script step. After you have created the record and filled in the data in the fields. Greetings, Glenn
