Newbies tweller927 Posted August 30 Newbies Posted August 30 While troubleshooting an issue for a client that uses FTPeek, I realized that the version of the FTPeek plug-in was not the current version. The issue they are experiencing appears to be with the external target of the FTP transfer, but I figured it wouldn't hurt to update the plug-in version. After manually moving the new plugin file to the Extensions folder and reopening FileMaker Pro, the dialog 'Preparing plug-ins for first use' dialog appeared as expected. Unfortunately, the system was unable to successfully download and install the supporting files. I have verified that the 'Allow Solutions to Install Files' option is enabled in Preferences. I also removed the plug-in from the Extensions folder, and then opened the 'FTPeek Open First' demo file. Once the file was open, I attempted to install the plug-in using the 'Auto-Update' option with the same result. I believe my issue may be related to firewall rules, since this computer sits on our client's "Server" sub-net along with their file server, FileMaker Server, and other critical machines. In the past, I believe I was able to manually download an installer for the supporting files. I then copied the installer/files from my laptop to the machine that needed them. Is that still an option? I tried to find my notes, but I didn't have any luck since it has been a number of years ago that I recall taking these steps. Any insight you can provide will be greatly appreciated. If you able to provide a link to the supporting files download, that would be great. System specs: OS: Windows Server 2022 Standard; 16 GB RAM FMP: FileMaker Pro 2023 (20.3.2.201) If you have any questions or need additional information, please do not hesitate to contact me. Have a great day. Best regards, TW
Newbies Matt360Works Posted August 30 Newbies Posted August 30 Hello tweller927, that does sound like Firewall issue. You can download the support files from our docs page here. Please let me know if you run into any trouble or if you have any other questions. Matt 360Works Support 1
Newbies tweller927 Posted August 30 Author Newbies Posted August 30 Matt, That worked. Once I move the JRE 17 folder into the proper LocalAppData folder, I could enable FTPeek plug-in as expected. I believe I am good to go. Thank you for the prompt response and valuable insight. Have a great day and a great weekend. Best regards, TW
