The Mac mini is small enough to fit almost anywhere.

But size has very little to do with whether it can be useful as a development machine.

For developers, what matters is the processor, memory, storage, operating system, software compatibility, and how the machine fits into the overall workflow.

A hosted Mac mini can function as a remote development workstation. With administrator access, developers can configure their environment, install development tools, and use the machine for projects that require macOS.

The setup can be especially practical when you don't want another laptop but still need dedicated Apple hardware.

 

Yes, it is a fantastic little computer.

And it has more power than a top of the line computer from a few years ago.

Quick enough for FileMaker Pro, even to run a FileMaker Server for development on it.
