Email Scripts

Hi. First I must specify that I am mostly script illiterate. I have recently created a database to house client info, etc. I would like to know if it is possible to create an email list from the database. I would like to pull up a list of people (i.e. board members) and send an email to all of them without having to type in all of their addresses each time and/or keep updating email address books in another program. I did figure out how to send an email by clicking a "button" but it would send the email immediately and it was blank with no subject heading. I need to know how to set it up with the option to edit the email each time. Is this possible? I appreciate any help any of you can give me!

Thanks.

Hello Nikki

You'll have to loop thru found records and perform the script to send emails on each of them. As far as sending mail is concerned you've basically 2 options:

- Use your computer's email client, either using the Send Mail step or the OpenURL scheme. Pro:it's free; Cons: it doesn't *send* the email, it just creates it; sent emails cannot betraced within FM

- Use FM and an email plugin. Pros: everything is done within FM and sent emails can be traced. Cons: you've to pay for the plugin
