My invoice db contains thousands of records. Is there a way to search for non-consecutive invoices -- for example -- invoice nunbers 2222, 3333, 4444, 5555 -- without having to search for each invoice individually?

If i get what you mean, you want to find a bunch of arbitrary records?

Go into find mode and type the invoiceID you want, then go into the find menu and select 'new find request', you can do that as many times as you want. once you hit find, you'll have all the matching records.

Same thing in scripts, just use the scripts steps 'enter find mode', 'new find request' and 'preform find' etc.

Blessings upon you, my fellow FileMakerPro User! This was too easy. I have spent countless hours exporting single records and compiling them in a text editor. I am slapping myself on the forehead for not asking this question months ago. I bow to the wisdom and generosity of folks in the forum. Thanks!
