Why does FMP say my file is damaged, but it isn't?

I have used FileMaker Pro for a few months, but still have lots of questions.

I've created a file, A, which's used as a search window. I can trigger a script in file A, then go into a bunch other files to do the search. After the search, 2 scripts in file B, are being triggered. First script deletes all the records in file B. Second script imports the search results into file B. The import order is predefined manually. And the files I've mentioned above are in FileMaker Pro 6 format.

It works fine until I change the search criteria or make a print in file A. Then I will receive a message from FileMaker. Basically, it tells me that file B is damaged. And it gives 2 options, continue to use file B or exit FileMaker Pro program. But I can only select exit option, since it is no use the hit continue. However, B is not damaged. Next time I can still use file B, until I print or change search criteria in A.

I try to solve this problem for 2 days. But I can't think I have done anything wrong in my program. Please help!

Thanks.

Just because the file will open doesn't mean it isn't damaged. Have you tried using the "Recover" command to attempt to repair the file? Also, what platform are you on? Are you a single user of these files or are the networked?

I tried to use the recovered version, but the same thing happened.

Right now I'm working on NT. And all my file is on my local machine.

Thanks for your replying.
