send mail - creates draft in outlook why?

Featured Replies

when using the sendmail script in os9 and using outlook the new message ends up in your draft box, why won't it leave the new message open?

Unfortunately, that's just the way its built. Outlook, receiving a mail from outside to send, figures you'll want to doublecheck it first. Luckily, there's a very simple solution - applescript to move the messages from folder Drafts to folder Outbox.

what if I just want it open? so I can work message after I create it?

Same concept, just make an applescript that opens the message after you're done.

I'd recommend tring the OpenURL script step useing a calc field:

the_openurl = "mailto: " & email_field

I do like this function with the exception that I can not have a carriage return in the body. - oh well - BUT do you know if I can add addresses to the CC line of my email using the sendURL script?

amazing - how carriage returns? I found out that '%0A' is a carriage return but filemaker can not send it. Try if from a browser, and then try from filemaker.
