Exporting Subsummary Tables

Hi there!

I am using a subsummary export to a tab delimited text file and I get something that looks like this (sorted by B and summary field is C with the dashes substituting for tabs):

A---B---C

---B---C

---B---C

A---B---C

---B---C

Is there any way to get:

A---B---C

A---B---C

A---B---C

i.e. the A value on every line?

Any help appreciated as I currently end up reimporting the file back into FM, running a script and exporting again.

Cheers, Chris W.

How about a hint? Are A, B, C text field? Summary fields? What is your sort order? What parts are on your layout? A less abstracted description also often helps.

Oh sorry - in the above example C is the summary field and A & B are sort fields and I am exporting showing A, B and when sorted by B, C. I guess it is one of those things where I know what I am talking about because I have been working on it for a few days, but I forget the rest of the world hasn't! B)-)

Anyway here is a less abstract example of what I can get and what I want:

Prod Code Week No. Amount

Book1 2 1000

3 500

4 444

Book2 2 500

3 250

& what I want:

Book1 2 1000

Book1 3 500

Book1 4 444

Book2 2 500

Book2 3 250

So basically what I want when exporting to a text file Prod Code, Week No & Amount (which is summarised by Week No) is for the Prod Code field to be repeated on every line.

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated! :-)

Cheers, Chris W.
