bbaliner Posted September 24, 2002 Posted September 24, 2002 Hi there, I'm trying to download BI MAC SECURITY freeware from downloads.com, and can not do it. I can't find this software anywhere else, either. The reason for this is I have an older Power MAC 7300/200, and it will not install OS 9.x. I need some kind of log out system, so that I can leave the machine turned on for night backup. Any suggestions? Thanks in advance.
LiveOak Posted September 24, 2002 Posted September 24, 2002 It should be possible to run OS 9.1 on a Mac 7300. Also take a look at Eclipse from Ambrosia Software (www.ambrosiasw.com). Depending upon how much security you need, Eclipse is a screen saver that provides a password lockout. This does not prevent someone from rebooting the machine with a startup CD to gain access. Only physical security provides complete protection. -bd
