You need to UNCHECK the "allow creation..." option. This is what is causing the blank line. This is where you can add a new record.

JMO has a tip for this on his web page: databasepros.com The tip is titled "NewRows". I'm assuming you want users to be able to create new related records. I think this tip is what you are looking for.
