How can we know that the position we are now is the last record?

Go to FileMaker Help... type into the search line at the top:

CurrentFoundCount

and press "Ask". After reading that, type:

CurrentRecordNumber

and hit "Ask" again. Between those two, you'll have your answer.

While you are reading each of those, consider hitting the Overview button near the top... there's all kinds of useful info in that section. May help with your next challenge.
