non-proportional font common on both mac and win

Hello everybody, long time no see.

Inexperienced on windows as I am, I need to know for FM: is there a non proportional font that is common, and has the same name, on both mac and window platforms?

Hi Harry,

Courier is probably the only really safe bet...

Arial is pretty safe for me (notice I said arial, not Helvetica)

Arial, Times, Verdana and Courier are all relatively safe for x-plat work, but Courier is the only one of those that is not a proportional-spaced font.
