October 14, 200223 yr hello i have a problem with the plug in "Dialog Magic 5.5.0" and "dacon launch it". for some odd reason i cant enable it. i keep getting the message "Dialog message 5.5.0 could not be enabled" and "dacon launch it could not be enabled" I have this on 2 PC's and . One is running win2k the other is running WinXp. We are using these plug ins for a while now. and this is the first error we get. both are newly installed PC's. thanks in advance Jelte
October 14, 200223 yr It is likely that you need to install a service pack to ensure that the appropriate dlls are available before the plug-ins will enable correctly. Although I've not experienced the problem with either of the plug-ins or operating systems you are wrestling with at present, I have encountered something similar on more than one occsasion, and each time this has turned out to be the answer. Running an install for an earlier or later version of explorer or office may corect the problem (by making additional support files available that may be required by the plug-ins). If not, best shot is to email the vendors and ask for a list of service pack version/file requirements.
October 14, 200223 yr Author thanks i installed the newest service packs but it didnt help. i still keep getting the message on both machine's any more idea's?
October 14, 200223 yr It is conceivable that the 'newest' is not the right direction to go, especially sinve at least in the case of DialogMagic, the version you are using is not current. I'd suggest that as a next step you download the current version of DialogMagic and see if it operates correctly, and/or contact Dacons and NMI to check qith them what files/versions are required for the respective plug-ins under 2k and Xp.
October 14, 200223 yr Author for no reason "dacon launch it" started running on the win2k machine. the newest version of dialog magic works on both machines. very strange indeed. i have send an email to dacons and asked what service packs/updates the plugin requires. thanks alot.
