os9, osX sharing

Serving filemaker off os 9 osX won't share file. Get single user message when try to connect from osX. can open FMP5 in classic and everything works fine. can log into server from osX and open unshared files with out any problems. Any body know whats up??

A little clarification. when i try to open through the open host dialog I can't find the host. if I try to access through os file sharing I get file in use single user message. are the two versions osX, os9 not compatible???

No host no sharing. Try to put IP of the server into Specify Host.

Thanks. That was sort of it. os9 was sharing on apple talk(duh) osX was trying to share on tcp/ip. changed a few preferences and now it's all good.
