I have a situation where I am accessing/managing an FMPro 5.5 solution remotely. The Solution is on a Win2K Pro box running FM Pro Server 5.5 behind a Cisco Pix Firewall.

I can acces the files, and add/remove data but when I go into Layout Mode and change something and go back to browse mode the communicatiuon is lost. It also happens if I add a field.

Is complete remote administartion possible with Win2K Pro or does it absolutley need Win2K Server.

We are working without problems on W2K client and FM 5.5 in 2 installations.

How (with what software) are you remotely accessing the W2K Pro box?

With FileMaker mostly.

If we need the FM console then with pcAnywhere or VNC.

For remote programming we use FM or Windows Terminal Services.
