Dear All,

I would like to make a script to find record in portal

Enter find

setfield (relation:field,"Bill")

Perform find

It does not work

Even I click manually Find mode and type in Portal : Bill ...it finds everything

Why is like that?

Someone can help me out?

If File A has a relatioship to File B AND you perform a find on a layout with a portal in File A, you will find records in File A, NOT File B. Finds for records in File B must be performed in File B.

You will find records in file A that have one (or more) related records that match the find criteria entered into the protal.

I used self-join relationship so I created a layout to to find records in portal ..it does not work ...

have you used self-join relationship example so that I could see since I really need to learn about it
