Exporting to Quicken

Featured Replies

Never did this before. How can I export records to quicken?

Thanks,

Jeff (The Mad Jammer)

if it is anything like quickbooks it can be done

you need to check the help file and find out what the format for the qif file is.

I found it was easiest to create a new database for the export file. All this can/should be scripted.

Import records to be exported. Include a key field for sorting.

you probably need to loop through the records and duplicate each one to create the proper format (or sumarize them)

then export the appropriate fields as a txt file

rename as a 'qif' file (this can't really easyly be scripted. I just had the files save

import.

Thanks,

I'll give it a try. I like the idea of using a separate FM file for the quicken data.

And then ... there was nothing
