Tom England Posted November 1, 2002 Posted November 1, 2002 I have a report which sould be run off on the last day of a month (I forgot!!). Now it is November, fields have recalculated, and I can't run the October report off. Is it possible / advisable to change the date on FM Server back to 31/10/2002, and if so would I also need to change the date on the relevant workstation?
LiveOak Posted November 1, 2002 Posted November 1, 2002 The date is determined by the workstation, I don't think the server date will matter at all. As to what happens when you do, it is highly dependent upon how your solution is written. A better practice for reports is to have the user specify which month to use for the report. The current month can be set in the selection as the default. -bd
kennedy Posted November 1, 2002 Posted November 1, 2002 I'll second LiveOak's suggestion, change the report to use a specified month. If you don't, in January the "boss" (whether that's you or someone else) is going to decide you need to do those reports a bit differently and want to have all the reports re-generated the new way. And/or in April, ...
