DigitalDreamer Posted November 4, 2002 Posted November 4, 2002 I have a question about a filemaker project im working on. Its simply a membership database. I have a field called email. I want to be able to send an email to all the members in the database. I can email each person with no problem but i want to be able to email all the members. I could export to excel and then use a thrid party program to send to all of them but the users that will be using this are not pc savy like you or i would be. Thanks for any help you can give. Kurt Knippel Posted November 4, 2002 Posted November 4, 2002 You could simply loop through the DB, sending a single e-mail to each member.
DigitalDreamer Posted November 4, 2002 Author Posted November 4, 2002 Is this done by scripting? I have attached the script i currently use for email. Email Script.zip
Kurt Knippel Posted November 5, 2002 Posted November 5, 2002 Yes, just wrap a loop around this script.
The Mad Jammer Posted November 8, 2002 Posted November 8, 2002 Any way I can get a look at the script. I posted a question on 10/30 similar to this one that was never answered. I want to email a personalized form letter (oxymoron) to the email address associated with the database record. How do I include the text of the letter in the email message or attach it to the email? Thanks Jeff (The Mad Jammer) And then...there was nothing
