Does anyone know if Chartmaker pro will work in a runtime solution in either kiosk mode or just runtime? Secondly what are people's thoughts about this product to display simple graphs?

It should work - the principles are the same - though I've not actually tried it.

As to your more general question, there's no doubt it's a clever product and fulfills a need. And it's inexpensive (in terms of dollars, but not implementation time) in comparison to some of the leading plug-in alternatives. It has to be said that it requires rather a lot of work, for results which retain certain limitations.

If its simple graphs you want, and you're on a budget and don't mind delving into some complexities then CP is certainly worth a look.
