Two results on same page?

Featured Replies

This might be a newbie question. Sorry if it's already been discussed.

I'd like to build a general template showing a random book cover with a link to the book's record in the margins of every page in my website.

For example, the Catalog results page should show the titles of the found books, and a cover randomly chosen.

Any ideas?

You can look at using the [FMP-InlineAction...] replacement tags. Also, the "-findany" action.

Good Luck.

Garry

We assume that you are doing this as a "side" function to another pre-existing web db system, right, and the cover and link to record are like frills? Your catalog would be the "main" function? If so, I concur with garry, use an [FMP-inlineaction] to do an independent -findany search that will execute independently and show the cover art from a container field and any fields/links you want visable and then return to the catalog search results page and resume the "main" processes.
