Can I force my app into Layout Mode in a Script

Can you run a script where a particular task is performed in layout mode then goes back to browse mode. I want to paste merged text << >> into a layout mode because won't show up within a field.

As far as I know, there is no script command to enter Layout Mode. You can script an enter browse mode, though. You will not be able to script Copy or paste of any text in layout mode because it is not in a field. This process will most likely have to be done manually. Sorry. Perhaps if you give more information, there might be an alternative.

If you are trying to change the main text of something like a form letter, there are other ways to do this.
