Who Created records?

Featured Replies

Well, for some reason Created By or Created On fields have no data in them.

On Wed some 300 records and duplicates maraculously appeared in a database, which is served on FMS 5.0 from Windows NT Workstation.

I am trying to hunt down how this happened, or who created them, and was hoping to avoid digging through Events Log by simply looking at Created By or Created On fields. But they are empty.

How can I find out?

Thanks

It sounds like someone imported the records and, if the Created By or Created On fields are calculations, specified not to perform auto-calculations when importing the records.

I would say the only way to find out 'who done it' is to check the event log.

Created By and Created On are internal FileMaker fields that specify Creator Name (computer name), and Date Created (computer date).

I the past I could usually see the name of the importer, and the date of the import. That's why I am confused.

Thanks anyway.

When you import, you have the option of allowing or disallowing the autoenter fields. It could be that they were disabled.
