I am trying to open a FM pro5 file in OSX. I have the new pro 6 developer installed.

The file has been transferred from my old mac OS9 using a "cyberkey" media device.

Any suggestions?

What do you mean "won't open"?

If I understand your post correctly, you are trying to open a file using FMPro Developer. I believe that you need to open that file with FileMaker Pro as Developer, in general terms, is used to further refine (or with 6 analyze) already written databases.
