jeffer Posted November 26, 2002 Posted November 26, 2002 Hi, I want to implement code [color:"red"]93 barcode in my database. But i can's seem to find any information on it. I know it's not a font (like code 39) but a calculation...or something like that. Is there somebody that has worked with this before? tnx allready! jeff
BobWeaver Posted November 26, 2002 Posted November 26, 2002 There are codes that can be printed as fonts because there is a one to one correspondence between the character and piece of bar code. Then there are other bar codes such as UPC which interleave the coding for two (or maybe more) characters together. It makes a more compact bar code, but it requires special software to generate it. I used to know more about this when I set up a barcode scanning system a few years back, but I've forgotten quite a bit since then.
jeffer Posted November 26, 2002 Author Posted November 26, 2002 I know I can print barcodes as a font. But because of the small size of the stickers I'm not gonna use the Type39 font. Because the size increases when the field it's generated from grows in character size. Type 93 does not have that! Maybe there is a third party plugin for the job? Anny suggestions are welcome! jeff
