B-Man Posted December 20, 2002 Posted December 20, 2002 Hello, I am in the process of switching to OSX with FM server 5.5 and see that it does not support Apple Events. My problem is that I do not backup to a tape drive I back up to a mounted volume and that volume is backed up (not by me). So all I do is run a script that mounts my volume and then backup everything to that volume. Does anyone know of a way to schedule an apple event in OSX or is there another piece of software that I can use to schedule a volume to be mounted? Thanks for any help. Brian
Guest Posted December 20, 2002 Posted December 20, 2002 Brian.. i don't know what you mean by mount a volume. in general you can use fmp server scheduler to backup the files to a separate folder and then use retrospect to automatically save any changes to a storage set. retrospect can check to see if the storage set is available before running in the background.
