Exporting data to Excel really really SLOW

I am using Excel to generate charts of data extracted from FM6 with ODBC. It takes 12 minutes to extract 16 fields across 350 records.

This seems unusable. I can export this data from FM to a wk1 file in a few seconds.

Is this a typical export time with ODBC normal or is something wrong in my configuration or setup.

Truth is that ODBC on FM client sucks. I guess only FM marketing department is happy with it.

Have you tried using Applescript?
