Remote Administration Plug-In Version Incorrect

Featured Replies

I just installed FM Server 5.0 in a W2000 Server. I also relocated an existing Mac Running the same server serial number. Once I corrected for the duplicate licenses running (or not running), I discovered that the Remote Admin was giving that error. All other servers running OK. Replaced Remote Admin on both machines, nothing. Any ideas?

Are you trying to run 2 servers with single license and serial number? That will qualify as piracy.

No, it was unintentional. The intention was to decommission a Mac "server", use it's license on the PC and transfer the files (and license) from the decommissioned mac to another mac. I forgot to change the license on the in service mac which conflicted with the PC. It is a bit round about, but that is what happened.

I have just checked my other servers. This appears to be a FileMaker 6.04 vs 5.02 Server issue. The 5.5 server works fine.

I am not with the Software Police, do not worry, but this is still 2 computers with single license of FM server

Not any more. I deleted and reinstalled the correct server license. The problem seems to be a 6.04 ve 5.0 server issue.
