Newbies PsychoDJ Posted January 2, 2003 Newbies Posted January 2, 2003 Here's the nutshell: Webiste that contains arts and crafts show info. here's the 'problem': From the main page you can do a search. The search results page has a little blinking arrow GIF which indicates the new shows. It doesn't show. It's blanked out. BUT, if you click on one of the search results for the detail of the show, then say, click on the link we have to pull up ALL shows from that particular sponsor (a quick link), the same search results page displays...with the graphic. I've been doing web development with all sorts of DB technologies and languages for a number of years and this one...this one has me stumped... http://www.acnshowguide.com <---the website if you need the 'visual'.
Garry Claridge Posted January 3, 2003 Posted January 3, 2003 It looks like a relative path problem to "images/REDFLOAT1.gif". The Search results page is being called by a form, and the Sponsors results page is being called by a URL. Try the full path to the gif, then cut it back until all you need remains. Good Luck. Garry
balooka Posted January 3, 2003 Posted January 3, 2003 Heya, I've had some similar probs with that and solved it by adding one global fiel that contains the full path to the imagesfolder (could also be remote) & the image needed. The benefit i got from this solution is that based on a case the image changes. And, IMHO, filemakers WC is not sending the pic itself this way...
balooka Posted January 3, 2003 Posted January 3, 2003 ps. If I click on 'ACN home' the main_index page is loaded in the topframe instead of the content frame... goodluck
Newbies PsychoDJ Posted January 3, 2003 Author Newbies Posted January 3, 2003 yeah, after making some changes yesterday, the owner of the website came along and made his changes. He's not a web programmer and really botched it up somewhat. It's all fixed. Thanks for the replies y'all, I'll start looking into the suggestions.
