Ok.. this is seriously psycho. First off I'm sure I posted 2 posts (incl this one) and I can't find them so I'm going to post again (sorry).

I am using FM.6 and Outlook 2002.

In FM6 i have a script "Send Mail" which works fine... opens up a outlook mail window addressed to the correct person etc etc.. with the following exception:

If an "idiot user" clicked on the button by mistake and then closes the outlook window, it will firstoff throw you into i don't know where (Internet Explorer in my first example) and filemaker will flash on my toolbar. Upon clicking into filemaker an error message comes up "send mail has been cancelled, do you wish to continue with this script"

Have tried everything and can't get it to stop. Basically i need FM to open up the outlook window and that's it. But it doesnt' consider it's completed the script until i click on 'send' in outlook.

Maybe i've just had too much christmas cheer.. hick... i'm now off to re-post my other missing post... hick

In your script add to the beginning

Set Error Capture [ON]

This will turn off all FileMaker warnings. you have to capture the Errors and take any action you wish (In this case probably none)

Thanks for your reply.

I had put the error capture at the end .. doh

Meanwhile, it has stopped the message from appearing but if the "idiot" user cancels the outlook window it will still throw them into another MSN? window.

I knwo this is seemingly stupid. But you know how it is... catering for the lowest denominator, "idiot" grin.gif
