FM & ODBC on OS X

Featured Replies

Hi,

I would like to start using OS X (Jaguar) to run some FM databases. The only thing is that I have noticed that FileMaker under OS X does not support ODBC, even though OS X does have ODBC capabilities. I'm running FM v5.5, but I'm pretty sure that v6 is the same. Does anyone know what FileMaker Inc's plans are with OS X and ODBC?

Thanks,

Peter.

FM 6 on OS X uses ODBC

Good Luck

Garry

IMHO FMI implementation of ODBC sucks. Even on Windows.

I obviously didn't look hard enough blush.gif

I've downloaded the FM v6 demo and I'll see if I can set it up to use ODBC.

I agree that the ODBC implementation in FM doesn't seem to be fantastic. I've been using it for a while on OS 9, and I find it very slow.

Thanks,

Peter.
