Median function?

Is there a tried-and true way to calculate median in FileMaker, or does one have to do this in Excel?

I could give you a way, but it might be easier in Excel. Create a temp file with one numeric field, and load your values 1 per record. Show all records, sort low to high, and then pick the middle record.

If your values already exist, one per record, in your main file, you wouldn't need to create a temp file.
