Newbies pelicanPaul Posted January 14, 2003 Newbies Posted January 14, 2003 OK, I have a button that is calling a script that exports records. How do I tell FileMaker waht fields to Export. It is exporting all now. I just one a few. Paul
jasonwood Posted January 14, 2003 Posted January 14, 2003 You have to set up your export manually first. Then go into your script, make sure the option to "restore" is selected for the import script, then close the script. It will ask you if you want to replace the options for the import to the presently used settings, you do.
Newbies pelicanPaul Posted January 14, 2003 Author Newbies Posted January 14, 2003 What do you mean by set up exports manually? Just do an export ouside the ScriptWizard?
andygaunt Posted January 14, 2003 Posted January 14, 2003 As Jason suggested, First. Do a manual export from the File Menu, choosing which fields to export. Then, go into ScriptMaker and your current export script. Edit that script, and then click ok. You will see a dialog asking if you wish to keep/replace the export order. Choose replace and click ok. What this does is replace the export order that you had with the new export order. So now, when you export, it will remember the fields you selected. Hope this is clearer now.
