Hello all,

I have just dl'ed the trial version of FMserver 5.5 for linux. I have installed it and it seems to start fine but then states the following and shuts down.

Jan 16 16:02:12 FileMaker Server Trial INFO: This version has expired. Please use a current version.

I called support and they say there is no trial # or anything that would cause this to think it is expired. I looked in the linux forum but nothing there about this

thanks

Hartman

Double check that your system date is correct.

Bob,

The date is correct I use NTP to insure this. Here are some more details. Since FMP supports only Redhat I had to covert the package over to debian format and install it which went fine. The server started and reads the config and looks fine and starts. But one thing that did not occur was the fms_something file used to reg the mfserverd is no where to be found. So i think it then is not getting the s/n need for the 15 day trial. So after about 5 seconds the server see this and shuts down.

So i just need to find the fms_* file to key my fmserverd file.

Thanks

Hartman
