Hi I've been trying to setup up a backup schedule in Server 5.5 on an iMac running OS X 10.2.3 that places the files on an eMac also running 10.2.3. initially this seemed to work when I mounted the eMac on the iMacs desktop but if either computer restarts the eMac is lost from the iMacs desktop and the schedule fails. Does anyone know if it's posssible to get FMP server to backup across a TCP/IP network without mounting the target disk on to the desktop, If so please share. Many thanks

Setup a mounting script, which mounts the volume from the eMac and runs just before the backup script.

Well. You could back up to the server and then use Retrospect to copy the file to a computer running the FTP daemon.
