change style of a field when other field is filled

Is there a way to change the style of a given field (from bold to unbold, or red to black) when another field is entered?

For example, can a script change my due date (field 1) from bold to unbold when the completion date (field 2) is entered, or when a checkbox is marked to indicate completion?

Or can it change from red (when completion date field is empty) to black (when filled?)

Hi tsway,

There a couple of ways to approach this.

One way would be to use a calculation and container field approach. I like the way Lynne Bradford and Davor Juretic put it together in their file Highlight Deluxe. You can get a copy at:

Another way would be to use a system based on Don Wieland's "Color Calc," a copy of this is available from his site.

I've use both, but prefer Lynne and Davor approach, because of the ease of implementing it.
