I am running FM Server 5.5 on a Windows XP Pro Machine and I want to back up FMP files to a Novell Server across a Novell Network. Is there anything special I need to do. I've tried to set up an account to log on to the remote machine, but I can't figure out what FM Server is actually doing when it attempts the backup. I get an error every time that the remote volume was not found. I've tried UNC names and mapped drive names and nothing works. I think that the workaround described in the knowledge base works in Windows networks, but not with Novell Networks. Any ideas? Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Will Posted January 17, 2003 Share Posted January 17, 2003 I don't see the post you are referring to but have you tried just using FileMaker server to back up to the local Windows XP drive, then using a Windows batch file to copy the files the Novell server?
