Export Script Step and OS X

Featured Replies

Here is the problem: We have a solution that worked fine in pre-OSX where it would grind through the solution and export the file just fine. In the OSX world, when it comes to that script step, it goes through it but no file is created - when I perform over a network. If I do it locally, it works fine. If I turn off the part of the step where it saved the file name and have to name it durning the running of the script, it works. And then afterwards it works fine.

Problem is, I can't do this for EVERY workstation that will be using this function! mad.gif

We need to have this done automatically. Is this something in FMP? We are using 5.5, is this fixed in 6???

Please, any help will be greatly appreciated!

Here's what I would do...

On an OS X machine, perform the export manually (the way you were able to do it successfully is sufficient), then enter and exit the script in scriptmaker. Tell it to use the settings currently in use. I would imagine this will force FM to remember a little extra bit of information that OS X requires.

what had to be done was check PERMISSIONS on the client machine (one of the frustrating things about OS X) and make sure that it was allowed to write to the disk. Had also to fiddle with the export/move locations because of the different layers in OS X - when I got it to work the first time it was in the User's folder.
