Anybody using 4-Sight and Filemaker together? I am in a mixed environment and need to be able to fax from the desktop from both Windows and MacOS, and have been considering 4-Sight.

Thanks,

Ric

i have a beautiful was of doing faxing from a mixed environment, as many stations you want thru one fax line. Heres how it goes, you make one robot fax machine Macos9, with an app called faxtool from datadesigns.com. YOu also buy one events plugin from wmotion. you set up your fax robot to check for unsent faxes (just a field) every 5 or ten minutes. When someone want to fax something the fax robot is told what needs to be faxes, and it runs that script every 5 mintues. therefore you only need one license for faxtool and one for events and one fax line for all your computers. and you can check for failed faxes on just one computer. if you want more details, email me at [email protected].

I use FMP 5/6 on macs and 4-sight fax 4.01or(4.02) 50 users. I am waiting for some confirmation that the V5 works with windows clients using filemaker, apparently there is a company developing a plug-in for FMPro, millenium something, I have the address at work, email me directly at my address and I'll send you the details, I asked them about the plug-in a month or so ago, but no reply....

We are using FM applescript & 4-sight together to automate faxing at the moment. Everything works OK, but we are moving to Page Sender as we migrate to OS X. It has no server version, but our phone system allows us to send faxes thru our handsets.
