I always need to line up match fields every time I import data into a destination file. Is there a way to save the mapping fields order so I dun have to go through all those hassels?

Once you have done it manually, write a script that uses the import script step

Check the Restore Import Order option and Perform without dialog. The script will remember the order you set for the fields, but allow you to choose a different file.

To add to what Andy said, I have a file that I transfer records in from all the time. In this case, I have specify the file, so I don't have to go through the all of the path levels involved each time.
