mouse over tricks help

Featured Replies

[color:"purple"] Here's my problem . . . I want the mouse to change either color or to a hand icon when the mouse is over a button. My layout has some graphics for buttons, so I want to make sure the user knows he/she can click on it. Another route I'm willing to go is having the button change somehow (underline/change color/outline) to signify it's a button.

I've searched all the resources I have and I can't find anything. Can anyone help me???

Sabrina

You must be using an earlier verison of FileMaker than 5.5, because it is a built in feature starting with it. Unfortunately, it can't be done in earlier versions, at least I'm not aware of any workarounds. If you are using 5.5 or 6, then let us know.

The comp I am on is running 5. I'll switch to a comp with 6 and see what happens. Thanks!

I am running FMP6 now. I will check more places, but I can't find any helps for the mouse over issue. Please help!

Mine works. You don't have to do anything but run the cursor over a button, a hand should appear.

In the specify button dialog, you must check, Change to hand cursor over button. That will do it for you.

Silly me! I found it right beneath my nose. I really like the additional button feature in 6. Thanks so much!
