Emailing in runtime

Featured Replies

I have a problem e-mailing within the runtime program.

I have a script with exports selected records to a file then e-mails this file out to a specific person.

The script works great in the full version but fails in the runtime - on the same machine or on a different computer.

In the runtime the script says it has worked - i.e exported file IS created and the various message boxes appear telling me that records have been exported and then mailed successfully.

The problem is THAY HAVE NOT been mailed. The mail program (in this case Outlook Express)

I cannot see why the script works fine in the full version but not in runtime.

In the various dilog boxes when writing the mail script I made sure the recipient was hard coded in - the mail is always to the same person)but still nothing.

This process is vital to me as it is the only means of updating various people's files - via an import file script - which works fine in both versions

So if anyone can tell me what I am missing I would be REALLY grateful.

i have the same problem

Just for the hell of it, why don't you try the same thing in Outlook? Outlook Express is really weird at times. While I don't have an idea why it wouldn't work in one versus the other, it might be worth a try.
