irvingm Posted February 20, 2003 Posted February 20, 2003 Users in my work group are working with PC and Mac runtime solutions at present. There are around 120 users scattered over a fairly wide georgraphical area. We wish to collect data from users on a regular basis. Will FM server help us? or FM unlimited? Can anyone give me a quick, easy comparison of the two (without too many big words)!
Kurt Knippel Posted February 20, 2003 Posted February 20, 2003 Filemaker Server is used to serve databases to LAN/WAN clients running copies of Filemaker Pro. Each copy of Filemaker Server can host up to 125 databases and 250 consurrent users. Filemaker Unlimited is used to serve data (not entire databases) to people connecting to web pages. It is called "Unlimted" because it can serve to an unlimited number of IPs. You situation sounds like you need Filemaker Server and a volume license for Filemaker Pro.
