File not found error when opening related DB

Featured Replies

When I use "open remote" to open a main file on a remote computer

the 2 other related files can't be found even if they are stored on the same computer. I get a "file not found" error message, then i select "Host" button

and click on the file that is related to the main file. I repeat this step for

each related file, how can i correct this, what is wrong wtih my set-up?

Thanks

Well, I'm shooting in the dark, without seeing the file, but if its showing up in hosts, It must be open on the host computer as well. Thus, do you have the file set to multi-user?

Yes the files are multi-user.

The problem seems to be with the relationship.

When i open the main file on the host computer all related files open as

they should. With them opened, i go to my other computer, use "open remote"

to open the main file (that works and i can "see" all the other related files).

But the main file does not open the related ones, instead i get a file not found error and i must use "open remote" & "hosts" buttons to manually open

each related file. it's as if the main file was looking for the related ones

in the current computer instead of the computer acting as the server.

thanks for any help
