Hi, I am a student at the university of kansas and I am trying to import an MSexcel data base to FMP 5. For some reason, after the importing, FMP did not keep the text format in excell(italiced, bold etc.). All data are in simple text.

Does anyone know how to keep the text format during importing?

Not possible. I cannot think of any data format that retains formatting during import/export.

Works the same way whether you import or export text. Styles are not kept.
