But in the body of the message within the script, there are 2 shortcoming that I

You are wanting to create HTML email. It can be done with a plugin such as SMTPit. You'll have to tag the bold text with HTML, though, it won't translate that for you. If you must have that, take a look here, but it may be more trouble than it's worth.
