CharlesC Posted March 9, 2003 Posted March 9, 2003 Hi, I've got a submissions database where I use a value list to sort items, (e.g. out, resend, accepted, rejected, revise). In order to keep track of the records, I use colors to distinguish the values in the list. I'm manually setting the colors for each different value in the list. I'd like to know if there's a way to automatically set the color when I choose any item in the list. I am a total novice when it comes FM scripting, and my first attempts were a total failure, so if possible I need an explanation that will walk me through from the beginning. Thanks so much Charles Carroll
Lee Smith Posted March 9, 2003 Posted March 9, 2003 Hi Charles, This can be done. Check out Russ Baker's download "Handy Bits" Also, you might want to check out these files too. http://www.fmfiles.com/tnt4.html Back Color http://www.fmfiles.com/tnt4.html Change Colors http://www.dwdataconcepts.com Color Calc http://www.fmfiles.com/tnt4.html Related Color Layout HTH Lee
Lee Smith Posted March 9, 2003 Posted March 9, 2003 Forgot to say, that Russ's file is in the samples here, and that you want the second file (attachment) as it was an update. Lee
