How can I have information that is entered into fields merged onto a Word document?

I am using FMP 5.5 and Word X in Jaguar.

I you already know how to use the merge features of Word, FM has an export option to use the "Merge" format. This will generate a merge file which can be used by MS Word. Just select the fields you wish in the FM export dialog.

I didn't know the export thing in FMP, so i did that. But now when i go to insert a database field in Word, it tells me that it cannot open the FMPDB File.

Any ideas?

Make sure you are correctly targeting the exported file, and NOT the FM database. If the problem persists, try opening and resaving the exported merge format file in Word.
